The Role
Join the TKV team as the National Sales Manager, where you'll lead by example to align team activities with business goals, drive deal closures, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This hands-on role requires mature leadership and a focus on both growth and profitability, while also prioritizing the development of your team members. The National Sales Manager plays a pivotal role within their organization, responsible for leading and developing our national construction division sales team. You'll be at the forefront of finding opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring that sales and profitability targets are not just met, but exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instil a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and modelling best practices. Lead by example to cultivate a team dedicated to excellence.
- Define roles and responsibilities within the sales team to ensure that each member is in the right position to contribute effectively.
- Implement a winning sales process and provide ongoing coaching to enhance individual and team performance. Through various training tools and techniques, establish a code of behavior that all team members adhere to.
- Drive sustainable results through our sales process by focusing not only on final sales outcomes but also on lead indicators that drive revenue and GP performance. Analyze sales data to identify trends, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Forecast, plan, and manage resources effectively to meet goals. Set budgets and allocate resources to support the team's success.
- Act as a point of contact for the sales team to address escalated customer disputes or complaints, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains a top priority.
What we are looking for:
- Proven sales management expertise leading diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
- Hands-on sales experience, preferably in the industrial sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with an adaptive style, capable of coaching and mentoring sales professionals.
- Analytical capacity with expertise in forecasting, reporting, and sales metrics.
- Drive for continuous improvement with hands-on experience devising lean sales processes.
- Deep understanding of sales processes and experience in providing the necessary resources for the team's success.
- Experience implementing sales systems (including CRM) and running data-driven reports and forecasts.
