Working with a Coomealla farming entity, Kogan People Solutions are assisting farm management as they seek a skilled and experienced Irrigation assistant. The role will require some knowledge of irrigation-based tech and data recording packages (and a natural thirst to learn more) The role will be expected to well aware of the husbandry required in the crops. The job is full time, and ongoing.
You will be confident handling large scale irrigation equipment and vehicles. Basic maintenance of the equipment in the offseason will be required, too.
Location Coomealla NSW
Salary – in the range $60k to $70k plus superannuation per annum
Responsibilities
Assisting the Irrigationist / Farm Manager, day to day duties will include
• Determining hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system.
• Implementing and irrigation-related program.
• Scheduling irrigations.
• Selecting and managing pumping systems for irrigation.
• Interpreting and applying irrigation designs.
• Supervising irrigation system installations.
• Supervising irrigation maintenance.
To be successfully considered, we expect to see
• At least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• AQF Certificate II in horticulture, agriculture or in a related field (preferred).
• Ability to operate wide range of farm and plant machinery including tractors and pump.
• Knowledge and experience in agricultural production principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised or as a part of a team
• Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia
