The Role:
The IS Shift Fitter will be a part of the Engineering team, you will utilise your trade and other skills to support and enhance the performance of job changes and maintenance of several independent section glass manufacturing machines whilst ensuring safety and quality. This is a 7 day rotating shift position on a 2 on, 2 off rotating roster on both day and night shifts. The successful incumbent will also be required to participate in the leave coverage roster which will have them covering day shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and repair all equipment as required
- Respond to breakdowns
- Partake in daily job changes
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist the Engineering team where required
- Report all items that cause machinery to perform under standard and record all machine anomalies to the engineering department
- Participate in a shift hand over prior to finishing work to ensure oncoming shift is aware of all relevant information
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
What We're Looking For:
- Trade Qualification - Maintenance Fitter
- Pneumatic Experience
- Previous experience in fault finding automated machinery
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to manage changing priorities
- Capacity to work autonomously
- Flexibility in working hours
- Strong safety focus
In conjunction with the above, the successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, have a high level of initiative and a ‘can do' attitude. Being able to work as part of a team as well as independently is imperative as is experience within a maintenance team environment.
