IT Auditors, Full time or Part time

How will you contribute?

We are seeking 5 exceptional Information Technology Auditors to join our Systems Assurance & Cyber team. You will be joining a highly engaged and well-regarded team of specialists to undertake audit assignments either individually or as part of a team to deliver high quality financial audits.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensure all audit work within personal responsibility is completed effectively and efficiently and meets the requirements of the Audit Office’s audit methodology, professional standards and legislation.

  • Build personal competency, knowledge and technical proficiency to contribute to more complex audit assignments.

  • Ensure quality and timely audit outcomes are achieved by maintaining strong and professional relationships with clients and proactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify critical issues that may adversely impact outcomes and escalate them appropriately.

  • Assist in providing sound and well-reasoned audit documentation to support assurance opinions and reports to parliament.

  • Embrace audit and other strategic change initiatives

What will you need to succeed?

We are seeking someone who is proficient in written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.  The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of auditing and risk management and be able to demonstrate high personal integrity and professionalism.

You will also need:

  • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline

  • At least one year of experience in IT Audit or a related field

  • Having obtained or be undertaking CISA certification will be highly regarded

  • Understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, auditing concepts and technique

  • Australian permanent resident or citizen or New Zealand citizen

  • Successful police check

While it is not an essential requirement that candidates are undertaking or have obtained full membership of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or the Institute of Public Accountants, it would be viewed favourably.

What are the benefits?

On offer is a 35-hour work week and a total remuneration package (including superannuation) of $82,593 - $110,124 per annum depending on experience, skills and capabilities. This will be pro-rata for part time employees.
