You are a curious, motivated and experienced Senior IS Auditor, team player with a talent for project auditing and a mix of analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, project assurance exposure and a passion for integrity in financial and operational processes. You will examine and evaluate Bank activities and provide advice to management on governance, risk management and controls.

At the RBA we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our business as a central bank and as a Senior Auditor you will embellish a high performing Audit team. You will also experience working across a wide variety of audit engagements and project reviews. Overall, the Audit Department is responsible for conducting independent appraisals of the Reserve Bank's activities, functions, and operations to ensure that an adequate framework of internal controls is established and are operating effectively.
Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a full range of technology related engagements covering identity and access management, security management, IT governance, emerging technology risk, IT service management, IT general and application controls, cyber and technology resilience and IT alignment to business strategy.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
  • Strong understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
  • Support IS audit uplift of non-IS audit colleagues.
  • Preferable to those with experience in reviewing IT general and applications controls.
  • Opportunity for involvement in project audits which assess the project life cycle from the design phase to implementation.
  • Effectively leverage technology tools and data analytics to optimise audit coverage and efficiency and to obtain valuable insights.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Qualification: ​bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or related. CISA Certification highly desirable.
Your Team
You will report to the Portfolio Manager IS Audit and will be part of smaller teams supporting the execution of various audit engagements as part of delivery of the broader audit plan for the Audit department.
