IT Business Analyst (Finance)

The successful candidate in this role will collaborate with members of the project team, range of stakeholders across the Division, Corporate Finance stakeholders and the project’s business owner to help understand the ICT requirements, impacts and support changes.

• 4 month contract
• Brisbane CBD location

As the IT Business Analyst (Finance), your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, document, and analyse current business processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains through the implementation of SAP process updates.
• Work closely with project team and stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise functional and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for SAP configuration and development.
• Contribute to the implementation and configuration of SAP modules based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with SAP technical teams to ensure proper integration and functionality.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the proper functioning of SAP solutions.
• Work with end-users to validate that SAP configurations meet business requirements.
• Develop components of training materials for end-users
• Provide training to end-users on new or updated SAP functionalities.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP configurations, processes, and user guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for continuous improvement within the Divisions Financial processes within SAP.
• Effectively communicate ICT efforts with the Project manager regarding project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders at various levels within the technical element of the workstream.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business units to understand evolving needs.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with at least five years of experience.  Experience with SAP implementations is desirable (but not essential)
• In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC) and integration points is desirable (but not essential).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with ICT projects is essential, experience with SAP implementation/enhancements is desirable (but not essential)
• Experience with built infrastructure projects and/or financial management projects is desirable (but not essential)
