Our client, a large international company working on cutting edge software in the resources sector seeks a Senior Business Analyst to join the autonomy team.
Working at project inception, you will help craft the integrated system concept and turn business requirements into product specifications. You will be motivated to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and customers, while supporting the software engineering team with high quality product requirements.
You are a Senior Business Analyst with a history of identifying and analysing real world problems. You will be an out of the box thinker who is happy working on a variety of problems. You are a self-starter who enjoys seeing a solution through to completion. Happy to balance work between your home and the office. You take pride in the quality of your work and enjoy collaborating with the wider team and customers to help create the best solution possible. You may have experience with automation or machine integration systems that utilise sensory inputs to deliver tracking and optimisation of mine sites or other manufacturing/plant operations. You enjoy occasional trips to site and enjoy watching a solution achieve its objective for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a thorough understanding of the capability/feature set(s) applicable and be able to gather, refine and articulate the needs of the project, including functions, processes, workflows using a defined methodology including workshop facilitation, data analysis, stakeholder interviews.
- Accurately describe the problem statement, business impact and user experience across products where relevant.
- Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts.
- Deliver insights that drive improvements to delivery program processes/ways of working as well as external processes
- Work with the stakeholders to clearly identify success criteria for each milestone the team are working on.
- Define the acceptance criteria for features and requirements to ensure clarity for delivery team(s)
- Identify and resolves conflicting requirements across the team and the program of work.
- Analyse user requirements and deliver artefacts to assist with understanding - including domain modelling, workflows, user stories and interface design, by liaising with a range of people including commercial and technical teams, drawing together information needs from across the organisation.
- Work closely with the product team members to ensure that the product meets the agreed requirements and to ensure the product is of a high quality.
- Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and product plans across a multi product suite and across multiple product generations
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Skills Required:
- Strong customer focus
- Experience with engineering based Product Development
- Experience with Requirements Management processes and tools
- Understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle
- Willingness to learn and consistent approach to self-development and improvement.
- Willingness to take on-board and provide feedback to colleagues, junior team members, and leaders.
- Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage your own time and agreed priorities.
