This 12-month contract IT Governance Manager role is a great job opportunity of working for a leading government agency based in Sydney CBD.

Your new role

As an IT Governance Manager, your role is to assist in establishing a new Governance function within Technology, with an initial focus around Cloud Computing (Microsoft Azure initially). You will help establish the governance framework for both Cloud and then more broadly across other Technology disciplines.

What you need to succeed

• Experience in IT Governance Frameworks
• Experience in Cloud Governance Frameworks and required controls and strategies (especially within the Microsoft Azure environment); Experience of defining and implementing policies and procedures and controls spanning resource management, access management, change, incident response and monitoring.
• Experience of risk management and managing risk and audit assessments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define governance objectives and align them with business and Technology goals
• Drive the adoption and compliance of governance practices throughout the Technology organisation
• Understanding the concept of FinOps and contributing to the development of FinOps disciplines and processes; Monitor and report on financial spend against budgets
