Acting as a highly trusted adviser on a broad range of technology matters, the primary objective of the role is the effective and proactive strategic and day-to-day management of technology, data governance and management, cybersecurity and IT infrastructure to support its dynamic business model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the COO and executive team to establish strategic direction for the company's technology solutions, data governance, and infrastructure.
- Prepare and oversee technology budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources.
- Advocate for technology and data-related matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Systems Manager to ensure timely completion and adherence to specifications of Information Systems projects.
- Partner with the wider business for diligence in vendor selection and negotiate contracts for new system acquisitions and renewals.
- Maintain efficient and effective IT Infrastructure by overseeing the organisations technology and managed services support vendors, emphasising cybersecurity best practices.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive policy framework aligned with the technological aspects of our business.
- Collaborate with the Risk & Compliance Manager to conduct periodic reviews of current policies.
- Previous experience setting up an IT function including - Process, Policies, Governance Frameworks and best security practices.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent field.
- Proven track record of successfully leading substantial organizational and systems changes.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving digital transformations within intricate environments, managing finite resources, and balancing competing priorities.
- Possesses a solid understanding of business systems, integration, and data governance/management principles.
- Exhibits proficiency in strategic technology planning, leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving.
- Experience within the funds management, real estate, and/or property construction sectors. - Highly beneficial.
- Capable of effectively managing risks.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.
