ABOUT THE ROLE
We are expanding our operations and are looking for an experienced IT Networking and Security Technical Trainer who can assist in developing and delivering IT networking, network security and cybersecurity training.
This position is for a passionate IT professional who is enthusiastic and motivated to bring change to the industry. This position requires you to provide exceptional training delivery and produce the best outcomes for our students.
We are looking for trainers who can deliver the following training topics:
- IT Networking - Switching, Routing and Wireless Essentials
- Network security and cybersecurity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage technical training content and resources
- Plan, install, configure and manage training equipment and software
- Provide technical training and assess students in a face-to-face environment
- Participate in team and industry consultation meetings
- Engage in industry consultation for the institute
- Maintain technical currency in the areas of IT networking, network security and cyber security.
SELECTION CRITERIA
To be shortlisted for the role, the candidates must hold/have:
Essential
- Experience working in IT networking, network security and cybersecurity
- Ability to create technical training content
- Must hold relevant industry/vendor certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, Fortinet NSE4, NSE5
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Either hold or willing to complete TAE40116 - Certificate IV Training and Assessment
Desirable
- Hold qualification at least at Diploma level in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant stream.
The successful candidate will be required to hold and maintain:
- a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
- a valid National Police Clearance
