Network Controllers take the lead in ensuring rail operation is safe for workers and passengers alike and is timely and efficient. You will use complex systems to manage rail traffic, protect safe working activities and respond to unplanned events. To meet our passenger expectations, you will need to act decisively and remain calm under pressure.This opportunity presents a unique chance to join the operational hub of the Perth Rail Network amid an unprecedented phase of expansion. Alongside this, you'll have the opportunity to operate from a cutting-edge, fully integrated Control Centre scheduled for completion in 2024.About youThe ideal candidate for this role possesses a solid grasp of modern customer service practices, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in conflict resolution. You should thrive working within a team environment, with the ability to think clearly during stressful situations and make clear decisions under pressure being crucial. Ideally, you will have a background in a Control Room or similar environment, though significant experience working in complex operational environments would also be of great value. - Well-developed and effective communication, interpersonal and de-escalation skills;
- An ability and desire to work effectively both in a team and independently, with the flexibility to adapt in a changing environment.
