The RBA are seeking a Project Risk Technical Manager (2 year fixed term contract) that has a technical knowledge of IT Infrastructure and proficient with risk, security and project frameworks. As well as, experience in designing, leading, reporting and monitoring assessments of risk. Risk in Change expertise will be highly regarded.
Work that makes a difference
- Opportunity for an experienced Project Risk Specialist to support a major technology change program in the bank, working directly with the program team to provide Risk Management support and technology risk expertise.
- As a key risk and project resource, you will support the management of end-to-end risk throughout the project lifecycle by identifying, assessing, and monitoring delivery and delivered risks, and also provide oversight for mitigation actions in line with Bank's risk management framework. You will also ensure all relevant reviews are considered including second line and third line reviews
- You will ensure all relevant risks and mitigation actions are included in monthly SteerCo updates on delivery and delivered risks, as well as monthly status reports, ensuring comprehensive and accurate risk communication by producing timely risk reporting, and standardising risk documentation processes.

A key member of a newly created team, you will be part of the foundations to build and grow this new practice.
The Risk and Compliance Department supports the consistent and effective application of the Bank's framework for managing risk and compliance obligations, both at the enterprise level and for individual business units across the Bank. It also advises on and implements the risk management framework governing the Bank's operations in financial markets.
Your background
To be successful in this critical role you will possess;
- Advanced knowledge of technology risk and experience with technology and infrastructure risks
- Experience in Project Risk management is highly desirable
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders to enhance risk capability within the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to produce insightful risk reports which generate improvements and drive change
- Experience of operating within a three lines of accountability model to support effective challenge and transparency
- Proven experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships at a senior level
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management or risk management will be highly regarded
- Certifications relevant to technology risk will be highly regarded
