Catholic School Parramatta Diocese are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to join the IT Information Security Platform team on a permanent, full-time basis.About the OpportunityReporting to the Head of Information Security, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, operations, administration, configuration, and implementation of various IT Security controls.Role responsibilities:
- Supporting the set-up, enhancement, alteration and testing of system configuration within the designated IT Security controls in response to day-to-day and project demands and issues.
- Performing the tasks of maintenance, administration, management of IT Security controls in technology, processes, and people areas.
- Working with users and other specialists to define the requirements of IT Security controls and specify an optimum design for their implementation, configuration and roll-out.
- Addressing IT Security issues, incidents and requests raised through the Enterprise Service Desk Support, Incident Management, and various IT Security technology controls.
- Hunting threats an investigating alert from various IT Security controls.
- Developing documentation and communications about IT Security solutions, changes, improvements, impacts.
- Influencing architectural decisions and implementing and managing IT infrastructure.
- Determining where tasks can be automated, and developing solutions where required.
- The IT Security analyst will be responsible and contributing to the incident response, penetration testing, disaster recovery, security awareness/ end user education, audits, development of policies, procedures, user guides, communications.

- Have a understanding of working with various IT Security solutions including but not limited to Web, Email, Network, Cloud, Endpoint, data protection, mobile device management, Identity and Access management, backups.
- Experience with the incident response, penetration testing, disaster recovery, security awareness/end user education, audits, development of policies, procedures, user guides, communications.
- Knowledge of IT Security frameworks like ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST as well as ITIL will also be regarded.
- Relevant IT Security certifications (e.g. from ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, CompTIA, Microsoft, IT Security vendors) will be highly regarded.
- Understand and contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of relevant strategic initiatives and operational plans.
- Engage in continuous learning and contribute positively to a collaborative and respectful working environment aligned with the culture and values of CSPD.
- Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study.
