What is the role?
To provide technical and process support for our Clients systems including, Aptos, Qlik, Excel solutions and work with business units to maximise the return on investment in these tools.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide information systems technical support for complex customer issues and integration with other applications.
- Provide technical solutions to bug and enhancement requests.
- Identify problems with information technology system operations and provide potential workarounds.
- Work closely with other groups in requirements gathering, undertake development of business requirements, process improvements, process mapping / design, and automated business systems. This includes coordination with other teams, business units and external vendors.
- Assist in problem management by developing recommended actions, function design and/or process changes, and the identification of skill or training gaps.
- Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
- Directs and coordinates data validation, user acceptance testing and business readiness adoption.
- Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
- Strong technical competency and experience of SQL with experience in working with large data sets;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of teaching others;
- Advanced user competence in MS Office products;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and apply problem solving skills;
- Ability to effectively time manage whilst maintaining attention to detail;
- Previous experience of Aptos & Qlik retail business systems desirable but not essential
- Skills with Visual Studio highly regarded;
- Multi site retail businesses highly regarded.
