It Security Governance Manager

What success looks like in this role:

• Oversee and manage the UMP ISMS framework to ensure ongoing confidentiality, availability, and integrity of all information and information assets.
• Chair the UMP ISMC committee, ensuring the ISMC is aligned to meet business and operational requirements.
• Uplifting existing ISMS framework for ISO 27002 certification.
• Ensuring adherence to our financial clients defined IT Key Controls for Security, Compliance and Governance.
• Ensuring the ongoing regular review and uplift of all ISMS Standards, Policies and Procedures.
• Highlight IT risks and provide recommended solutions to management and the ISMC committee.
• Coordinate annual BC/DR Testing, highlight areas for improvement and recommendations to address any shortcomings.
• Ensuring ongoing compliance and completion of all internal and external security audits
• Measuring and monitoring IT compliance, producing monthly reporting to Management.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• 7+ years’ experience working in a similar role within the Financial Services Industry
• Proven experience with uplifting from ISO 27001 to ISO 27002 and achieving certification.
• Deep understanding and experience of the tooling and configuration that needs to be adopted and deployed to meet key Security compliance obligations in the Financial Services Industry.
• Proven experience with the creation and ongoing management of ISMS Standards, Policies and Procedures
• Proven experience successfully leading annual BC/DR testing activities including working with key business stakeholders, IT Staff and Clients Engineers as well as producing reports and improvement recommendations.
• Previous background experience as a Security Engineer would be desirable.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical and complex issues and solutions into User-Friendly language to both engineers and management, provide clear options and recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
• Ability to collaborate, working closely with both business and technical teams.
• Ability to remain flexible as priorities change, adaptable to change, and able to accept ambiguity.
• Must show initiative, be driven, can forward plan and think bigger picture.
• Must have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Desirable some experience with Public Cloud Connectivity
