Emeco Group (ASX: EHL) was founded in 1972 and is a world leader in maximising the performance of heavy earthmoving equipment. It has operations in all key mining regions of Australia and its customers include mining companies and contractors across coal, gold, copper, bauxite and iron ore.
Due to rapid growth and expansion within our technology department we are now on the hunt for a Senior IT/ Digitization Project Manager. With in this role the successful individual will identify, lead, and execute IT and OT digital transformation projects in support of business goals. They will collaborate with business leaders across the enterprise to identify opportunities for digital transformation and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
The Role:
- Develop and maintain a digital transformation roadmap that aligns with the overall business strategy.
- Lead cross-functional teams (in a matrixed environment) to execute digital transformation projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
- Monitor and report on the progress of digital transformation initiatives, including the achievement of key performance indicators and business outcomes.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of digital transformation initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and assess their potential impact on the business.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders, including rental force, workshops, and other business functions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support the delivery of digital transformation initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Enterprise stakeholder management, acting as a technical conduit between the business and IT, translating client needs into requirements, conceptual designs and solutions.
- Set, Monitor and Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that capture and demonstrate value of digital transformation projects that have been deployed, and ensure their ongoing sustainment post implementation.
- The role requires a hands-on approach with the team, including travel to various corporate and field locations as required.
- Sound understanding of enterprise architecture, applications, platforms, and information security.
- Establishing policies, standards, practices to ensure effective and consistent delivery of our technology to varying assets and sites.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience defining and leading cross-functional IT and/or digital transformation projects.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and development, and project management.
- Good understanding and technical knowledge of current software, hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
- Preferred candidates will offer examples how they have helped the business to adopt innovative new ways to create value for customers or grow revenue, not necessarily using new technology tools but also potentially using innovative ways of working and collaborating across the company or with partners/third parties.
- Experience in mining or related industries technologies will be beneficial.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing a high-performing team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
