We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced IT Senior Testerto join our dynamic team. As an IT Senior Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
You will work closely with our stakeholders, and clients to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, identify defects, and provide valuable insights to improve the overall software development process.
Position Overview:
This role plays a crucial part in the software development process, involving methodology development, test management leadership, and execution of effective testing plans. It also includes a focus on regression testing, test automation, and support for risk-based testing to facilitate faster release cycles.
- Design and create comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts based on project requirements.
- Execute test cases manually and using automated tools to validate software functionalities and ensure overall product quality.
- Document and track software defects, accurately recording and communicating issues to the development team.
- Conduct various types of testing (Functional, System Integration, Regression, Non-Functional) to validate software stability and performance across platforms.
- Develop test execution strategies, including decisions on automated vs. manual testing and implementing risk-based testing.
About You:
- 5-8 years’ experience in hands-on testing and automation, with a focus on web-based applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, agile delivery (SCRUM), and testing methodologies (V-Model, BDD).
- Proficiency in manual testing, with a preference for automation experience (Rest Assured, Selenium) and skills in tools like Cucumber/Gherkin, Postman, API testing, and SQL.
- Nice-to-have experience includes; certifications (Certified Agile Tester, ISEB/ISTQB), financial services or banking experience, familiarity with tools like Jira, Zephyr, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, and scripting/programming languages (C#, Java).
