We are now looking for someone to join our team in the newly created role of IT Support Officer in our head office in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.
Our IT Support Officer will provide IT support for all of our internal teams by managing, maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure and systems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Respond promptly to IT support requests from employees, providing technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, diagnosing and resolving problems efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Provide onboarding for all new employees to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with management and team members to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an accurate knowledge base.
- Provide training and support to employees on IT-related matters.
About You:
We are looking for somebody who loves problem solving and finding the right solutions to ensure our IT systems run effectively. Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Experience in an IT support role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and peripherals.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as common office software applications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
