Solo Resource Recovery is an essential services company supplying waste removal and recycling services throughout Australia. The recycling and waste recovery sector is in an exciting stage of evolution and Solo Resource Recovery are at the forefront. Information technology is a strong focus point for innovation with In-Vehicle management systems and advanced technology used in all vehicles across Australia. Due to a rapid expansion of the organisation, we are seeking an experienced IT System Administrator.
The position is full time, reporting to the IT Manager and based in our Head Office in Chinderah (Far North NSW.)

Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all new staff are set up with network sign-on and other specific requirements;
- Ensure outgoing staff are removed from the system and all Company issued items are revoked;
- Recording IT asset movements;
- Processing Helpdesk requests in a timely manner;
- Following official change management process;
- Participation in the monthly server maintenance schedule;
- Seeking knowledge sharing through interaction with other IT staff, online resources, public seminars, news groups, and industry specific vendor avenues;
- Adherence to service level agreements;
- Ensuring that all IT-owned devices are running current installations of antivirus and security updates;
- Processing of service requests within SLA period and recording notes accordingly.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Strong communication skills;
- A passion for IT, problem solving and outside-the-box thinking;
- Interest in improving your personal skills and technical knowledge;
- The ability to remain up to date with the fast-paced changes of the IT industry;
- Self management ability, with strong time planning skills to meet deadlines;
- A minimum of 3 years in a System Administrator role;
- Full rights to work in Australia
Essential qualifications, skills & experience:
- An IT related qualification or certification;
- Microsoft Windows 10 Operating system and Windows Server technologies;
- Network storage devices;
- Understanding of basic TCP/IP routing principals;
- Virtualisation technologies
Desirable qualifications, skills & experience:
- Citrix / Terminal server;
- HP Blade Technology;
- VMWARE;
- VLAN, Switching and Router;
- Azure / M365 / AWS
