Job description

Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) are the official distributor of the Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X range across Australia. IUA are undergoing a digital transformation programme and require a dynamic and innovative IT Trainer to support a rarely experienced suite of projects in our Brisbane Head Office

Working with and supporting the IT Change Manager and forming part of the project team, this role is responsible for designing, delivering, and refining training programs to facilitate IUA’s Digital Transformation Programme and the adoption of IT changes across the business. This role focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of internal staff, dealers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth change transitions and maximised efficiency.

About you 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for empowering teams through effective training initiatives with change management practices and methodologies. They possess a strong background in instructional design and adult learning methodologies, coupled with proven experience in designing and delivering IT training programs in corporate settings. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, they excel in engaging diverse audiences and fostering a positive learning environment. This candidate is not only adept at conducting training sessions and workshops but also skilled in providing ongoing support and guidance to users. 

About the role

As an IT Trainer, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the IT Change Manager and key stakeholders to develop and implement training strategies and plans.
  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs and materials tailored to the needs of different user groups.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and presentations, both in-person and virtually, to educate users on new systems, processes, and tools.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and addressing feedback.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in training and adult learning methodologies.

The ideal skills & expertise are:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering IT training programs, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using training development tools and platforms.
  • Experience with change management practices and methodologies [A1] [A2]
