It Vendor Manager

Excited to be running a newly created role for a client we have been working with in the health and pharmaceutical industry.  As they go from strength to strength acquiring businesses, uplifting their technology as they embark on this transformation, this is another pivotal role for them.   

Based in Melbourne this role reports into the Head of PMO and will take ownership of the key tech. vendors, including governance and relationships with vendors. It will also manage vendor performance and proactively identify opportunities to realise greater value with key vendor relationships.

The role is super exciting for the right person as it is really taking ownership and putting in place a new framework to manage partners and vendors, establishing measurement on performance and contract negotiation process and centralising this function as part of the PMO. 

Must Haves:

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience in vendor/commercial management 
• Proven ability to develop, implement and lead the sourcing plans for strategic IT Contracts, establish third party vendor service arrangements, and manage commercial and legal aspects of the contracts with third party vendors to ensure successful service delivery
• Expertise in management and operation of suppliers with proven ability to assess the capability of suppliers and commercial proposals
• Strong knowledge of current trends in vendor management and tech. market in Australia
• Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives through collaboration and manage commercial arrangements with vendors 
• Experienced in providing strategic advice to the leadership team on specialist areas of outsourced services including contracts, service levels, ongoing contract management, market insight and pricing
• Excellent comms
• Very strong stakeholder engagement from shop floor to exec. level
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
• Strong negotiation skills
