This role plays a critical part in driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and technological advancement within the organisation, ultimately contributing to the achievement of our broader goals and aspirations.A day in the life of an IT Vendor Manager at Toll Group:
- Overseeing the entire contract lifecycle for engaged Managed IT Services, including changes, modifications, and enforcement of performance clauses, incentives, and remedies.
- Serving as the primary contact and subject matter expert for all contract-related and tender activities, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and maximizing value.
- Providing operational governance support to Group IT for ongoing contract and vendor management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Leading contract renewal negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, leveraging insights gained from performance evaluations and market analysis.
- Researching new and emerging technology opportunities, evaluating their potential to enhance business operations, and making recommendations to key stakeholders for strategic decision-making.
- Solid experience as an IT Vendor and/or Sourcing Manager in a global organisation supporting large/complex programs.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with Tier 1/2 service providers in IT.
- Experience in performance management of partners in a technology function.
- Understanding and working knowledge of ITIL/SIAM and other relevant ITSM frameworks is desired.
- Working knowledge and high-level understanding of a broad range of IT systems and technologies, spanning Digital (web, mobile apps, databases), cloud, infrastructure and applications.
- Strong negotiation, oral and written communication and influencing skills to facilitate and achieve favourable outcomes from competing stakeholders.
