Our client is seeking is seeking the services of an Iteration Manager to lead and facilitate agile delivery practices including processes and ceremonies, ensuring efficient project execution across the suite of IM Program Projects. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing project management activities to ensure successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will encompass various outcomes and accountabilities that contribute to maximizing benefits within the program. Your key focus areas will include prioritizing tasks, applying agile practices, guiding and coaching teams in agile/scrum principles, and implementing effective processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritization and Agile Practices:
- Determine priorities and leverage agile practices to maximize program benefits.
- Enhance team productivity, work progress during sprints, and overall product delivery success.
- Guidance and Coaching:
- Guide and coach teams and business stakeholders in agile/scrum principles.
- Increase scrum maturity, foster productive interactions, and ensure the achievement of deliverables.
- Process Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement processes, practices, and tools for flexible and consistent delivery.
- Conduct reviews of deliverables based on acceptance criteria.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop communication and collaboration strategies.
- Facilitate team events, such as daily stand-ups, iteration planning, and retrospectives.
- Roadmap Understanding and User Story Refinement:
- Work with product managers to facilitate team understanding of project delivery roadmaps.
- Refine user stories to support estimation and effective sprint planning.
- Backlog Management:
- Manage product backlogs and prioritize user stories in collaboration with product managers.
- Elaborate user stories with delivery teams.
- Impediment Resolution and Agile Strategies:
- Identify and remove impediments and blockers to delivery success.
- Support teams in collaborative problem-solving and self-organization.
- Adaptability and Agility:
- Develop strategies to address unpredictability, changing requirements, and product complexities.
- Improve team agility and ensure effective delivery in dynamic environments.
- Collaboration with Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with IM Program Project Managers and senior leadership.
- Build team capability through coaching and mentoring in motivation, team dynamics, and effective use of processes and tools.
Role Requirements:
- Degree qualification in a related field or equivalent significant experience.
- Demonstrated experience as an Iteration Manager/Lead.
- Strong knowledge of and experience applying agile principles.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting teams in adopting new practices.
- Applied knowledge of software development and release processes.
- Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
