With around 1,500 employees, this State Gov client operates through a network of 20 offices and 30 depots statewide, extending construction and maintenance services to communities, including those in regional and remote areas. This role sits within the Business Improvements unit which assists the overall dept by providing ICT project services, conducting business analysis, and delivering critical system support.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working on a large Digital Platform Replacement Program, this 3-4 year program of work that is in the planning phase of migrating all critical business functions from the legacy ERP to new government systems. An experienced Scrum Master/Iteration Manager is needed to lead daily agile ceremonies, drive methodology adoption, and ensure team adherence to agile principles. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to iteratively plan, prioritise, and execute project deliverables, fostering a culture of continuous improvement for enhanced team efficiency and delivery.
- This is an onsite role based in the CBD on Albert Street.
ROLE DUTIES
As a Scrum Master/Iteration Manager, you will primarily guide the program members and wider department on adopting and implementing beneficial agile principles and practices.
- lead and facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies.
- Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Help drive adoption of Agile methodologies while fostering continuous improvement.
- Ensuring teams adhere to agile principles and practices.
- Work closely with Product Owners to manage product backlog, define and redefine user stories and acceptance criteria.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned Agile Coach willing to fulfil the programs daily Scrum/Iteration duties. This role suits an individual with maturity and confidence in their approach to whole of organisation agile adoption. The ideal candidate should be disciplined, articulate, and familiar with current technology/tools with a knack for breaking down complex concepts into bite-sized pieces for the entire team or organization.
- Clear communication and organisational skills are crucial.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile Certifications.
- Prior experience working on large complex enterprise platform programs.
