Goal of this function:
The ITS Estimating Lead is a key member of the Australia/New Zealand Yunex Traffic and is part of our Pre-Contracts/Business Development team. This role will lead Yunex Traffic estimating/pricing strategy for all opportunities, provide defined deliverables, in accordance with our business requirement and validate efficiencies with opportunity development.
The person is required to develop close partnership with all stakeholders (internal and external) supporting successful business growth and winning tenders. The expectation is to be involved in projects (as required).
Stakeholders include, but not limited to, Yunex Traffic Management team and departments, Yunex Procurement, Yunex Traffic-Hub team in Singapore, Yunex Traffic HQ (Germany, UK, US), dealers, subcontractors, associations, partners, general contractors, etc.
The ITS Estimating Manager will work closely any people involved with opportunities and tenders and provide information as request to our Procurement team in Singapore. The ITS Estimating Manager reports directly to Director Business Development, Australia and New Zealand.
What are the responsibilities?
- To have the authority and responsibility for prepare for and lead the estimating function for all tenders, including the development and updating required processes.
- To ensure that appropriate comments are received prior to submission of tender submissions.
- To ensure learnings are considered and applied across all future opportunities/tender submissions.
- Provides feedback and lessons learned to the Yunex Management team and key departments.
- Collaborate and provide information (as requested) to the Yunex Procurement team
- Develops detailed estimates for each solutions/portfolio for Yunex Traffic.
- Is responsible for the preparing of the estimation documentation.
- Liaise and support your colleagues for the successfully growth of Yunex Traffic, including other offices/teams across Asia Pacific.
- Manage, control and coordinate the expectations of others to support the estimation of opportunities/tenders.
- Keep up to date with Yunex Traffic's portfolio of products and services.
- Adhere to Yunex guidelines in terms of contract, procurement guidelines, compliance, and business conduct guidelines.
Requirements
- Familiar with the ITS Industry fields relevant to the Australia and New Zealand market and aligns to Yunex's business structure of IUT, Urban, Highways, Tunnels, Tolling and Customer Services;
- Active in a similar estimating related role for at least 3 years
- Education / University degree in a related commercial and/or technical field
