Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for financial and management accounting task., a local entity of the client group, or affiliated local business entity. Collaboration with the Accounting Department at the Japanese headquarters and the Overseas Planning Department is essential. You will train and grow to support the overall financial and accounting functions for the overseas business in Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Numerical management and analysis
- Communicating with relevant departments at the Japanese headquarters, reporting on local issues and situations
- Development of business plans based on management accounting (revenue, investment, capital), coordination and reporting with the Japanese headquarters
- Monthly and yearly closing tasks and their assistance based on the above
- Formulation of budgets and medium-term plans contributing to the consolidated accounting at the Japanese headquarters, coordination with relevant departments
- Various business process improvement tasks
- Interpretation/translation tasks
- Other ad-hoc tasks (various legal investigations related to risk management, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Japanese language skill; above business level
- 2 years or more of practical experience in accounting/finance at a business company
- Financial statement creation (in collaboration with accounting firms or the Japanese headquarters)
- Financial analysis
- Experience in reporting is plus
- Business-level English proficiency
Preferred but not mandatory:
- Candidates with management experience (no specific number of personnel or positions required)
- Certified Public Accountant qualifications or US CPA is plus but not mandatory
