Our client, a small AML/CTF focussed Federal agency located in Barton, ACT, requires an experienced Java Support Engineer for a long 12 + 12 + 12 month contract.

The Support Engineer will:

• Build Java-based solutions to business needs and expand upon existing Java-based applications.
• Handle data quality enhancements across several existing systems.
• Respond to technical questions in support of and to maintain existing agency applications.
• Review support requirements, updating the records of support requests and addressing system fixes and enhancements.
• Improve the stability, security and reliability of existing IT Systems applications.

Selection Criteria

• Experience supporting technical projects to extend and expand applications including coding, testing and installing high quality applications.
• Experience producing various technical documents including production support artefacts.
• Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to assess, process, cleanse, and verify potential problems
• Experience with AML/CTF software systems preferred.
