About us
Visa Managed Services (VMS) is the delivery arm of Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) team. We draw on our expertise in strategy, consulting, data analytics and industry experience to develop and implement fact-based recommendations to improve client performance. The VMS team specialise in recruiting the right talent into our client’s businesses to make changes happen.
About your role
Embedded at the client’s office, you’ll enjoy working in a collaborative team alongside experts from product, analytics, and marketing. Together, you’ll form out a roadmap of strategic activities, prioritize the items that need to be addressed and work with a cross-functional team to deliver results for the client.
You will work closely with the Data Science team to develop, implement and maintain models in areas such as predictive modelling, churn modelling, customer segmentation, time series and natural language. In this role, you will Influence and contribute to Data Science assessment and planning, maintaining, and ensuring alignment with the strategic direction for our analytics services, tools and platforms.
About you
Our ideal candidate is a confident problem solver and champion of Data Science, and can use new tools and techniques to solve business problems, and work collaboratively with the wider analytics team and platform to provide collective insight and value for stakeholders. Ideally, you have experience working with bank product teams and digital payments technologies and are energised by taking a task and developing and managing the pathway to the solution. What you will need to be successful:
Creating a business intelligence tool (in Power BI/Tableau) to report engagement metrics and the performance of a model over time.
Ability to assist with model development with the support of more senior team members
Ability to maintain the model performance (i.e., fit new features and ensure it is performing on the new time periods).
Understanding of key concepts of Statistics and Statistical and Machine Learning techniques.
Experience in creating analytical solutions using statistical or probabilistic decisioning.
Experience with extracting and aggregating data from large data sets using SQL or other tools
Proficient in SQL as an intermediate to advanced level, complemented by SPARK and HiveQL skills.
Proficiency with analytics programming languages like R and Python with recent hands-on experience is highly preferred
Experience with GitHub and Git Workflow is highly preferred
Experience across major open-source repositories, e.g. CRAN/MRAN or PyPi
Experience in using data driven analytics to develop dashboards, insights, and recommendations, specifically R / Posit Connect
Ability to understand complex problems and take a structured approach using data-driven insights to solve problems
