You will be an experienced Sales Support Officer with expertise gained in the technology industry ready to develop into an Account Management role. In addition to handling renewals and preparing quotes for the sales team, you will be given your own portfolio of clients to manage.
This role will suit you if you are used to working for a small company, so you will be happy to be involved with all touchpoints of a sales cycle. You will enjoy working with a sales team to manage existing accounts primarily in the education sector. You will want to have sales/GP targets. You will be the go-to person for existing clients so there will be customer service, sales support and cross/upselling opportunities in this varied role.
The role:
- Manage client relationships within existing accounts mainly in the Education sector across Australia
- Provide first class customer service and satisfaction at all times
- Identify and manages cross and upselling opportunities
- Manage renewals, quotes and any customer queries
- Follow up on marketing campaigns created by the marketing team within your accounts
- Maintain a strong working relationship with vendor partners from a technical/technology perspective and participate in evaluations, conferences and seminars as required
- Manage and keep up to date the corporate CRM
- Undertake training of the products so you develop into a product evangelist
To be successful in this role you must have the following essential criteria:
- An understanding of the sales relationship between vendors and end users would be useful
- Experience of successful Account Management and/or Sales Support in a niche sales environment, gained within a Systems Integrator or the technology industry
- Previous experience of cross and upselling hardware and software solutions would be preferred
- A proven track record in managing renewals and handling licensing queries
- The ability to learn quickly to develop an understanding of the products on offer while developing a passion and drive to sell them
- Must be self-motivated, with an influential/persuasive high energy level personality
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- First class communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to maintain a CRM for client and pipeline management
