Junior Barista/Cafe All-rounder

Belbaker Group has purchased a bustling café in Zillmere and we are looking for an experienced Barista/Café All-rounder to join the team! 

If you possess the ability to craft exceptional coffee, excel in delivering top-notch customer service, and have previous experience in the day-to-day running of a café, we encourage you to apply and be ready to hit the ground running. 

Our Café Staff members hold a vital role in the daily functioning of our business, focusing on tending to customer requirements, preparing food and beverages, upholding impeccable cleanliness standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient café experience for all visitors. We prioritise our customers' first impressions, so we seek individuals who are not only friendly, well-groomed, and efficient but also possess strong English language skills and exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar café or venue.
• Proficiency with POS terminals.
• Have a good grasp of cash handling and end-of-day procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and strong organisational skills.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and take a hands-on approach.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work over a seven day roster. 
• Have strong English skills (Written and Verbal).

 Additional Responsibilities:

• Craft high-quality coffee and prepare other beverages, including milkshakes and smoothies. 
• Greet customers, take orders, and process payments.
• Building rapport with customers by recognising their preferences to provide a personalised experience.
• Food preparation, for both take-away and dine-in options. 
• Cultivate a positive atmosphere to enhance customer experiences, by managing lighting and music throughout the day.
• Flexibility to work independently.

Additional Information:

• The role is casual, working up to 38 hours per week.
