About the Role:
Join our client's team as a Junior Estimator with this exciting opportunity. The position boasts a Monday to Friday roster and is based in the vibrant city of Gold Coast. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates a keen interest in acquiring the skills, diligence, and construction methodologies necessary to advance to the position of Senior Estimator within a 1-to-3-year timeframe.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cultivate and nurture relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for negotiating pricing.
Prepare estimates and purchase orders.
Contribute to the development of construction budgets for the project team.
Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors relevant to the project.
Ensure compliance with client quality and contract requirements, as well as adherence to company policies, plans, and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications or diplomas in Civil Engineering, Civil Project Management, and Civil Construction Management.
Additional qualifications, such as Certificate 3, are advantageous; a strong academic background with good passes in Year 12 secondary school is essential.
Excellent oral and written communication skills at a company management level.
Possession of a current Australian Driver's Licence.
Full working rights in Australia.
