We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Project Solutions & Engineering team based in Kewdale. This role will provide you with the unique opportunity to support new solutions, product development, and undertake engineering deliverables. The primary functions of this role include:
- Supporting the lead Mechanical Engineer on drafting and electrical designs.
- Perform engineering design (conceptual and technical), and related reviews through project life cycles.
- Ensure mechanical design compliance to customer specification, contracts, standards, and appropriate requirements.
- Identify design problems and provide timely solutions.
- Ensure best utilisation of software to improve product quality.
- Research, development, drafting, and review of mechanical systems.
- Compile and review supporting technical documentation.
Your willingness to get hands on in a manufacturing environment will be complemented by the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (essential).
- AutoCAD Inventor experience (essential).
- Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals in designs, and familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and Engineering design software applications.
- Well organised with strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work to financial and budgetary constraints.
- Experience in resolving problems - both technical and people management issues.
- Self-motivated and passionate about contributing to company growth.
