We supply hoses to the CS Gas companies here in Queensland, as well as Space, Defence, Food and Beverage and many companies around the world.
We are a Digitalised business that invests back into technology and have 3 CNC computerised laths, 4 manual lathes, 6 welding bay facilities, digital crimpers for making PTFE hose, rubber hoses, code hoses, we have a dedicated in-house pressure testing department with the capabilities of producing pressure graphs and certificates.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our Sales team at our Burleigh Heads Branch.
This is a full time position at Burleigh Heads on the sunny Gold Coast.
You will be liaising with PHF customers and clients to provide sales customer service including technical advice, product information and support to secure sales internally.
You will be tasked with providing drawings for products sold to engineering and product standards.
You will also acquire business process and product knowledge – particularly its’ design, construction, bill of materials and assembly and be actively involved in the evaluation of existing and new manufacturing process to improve product quality, manufacturing cost, process productivity and efficiency.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Working closely with the Sales Team, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- CAD design and modelling across a range of design and product developments.
- Production of manufacturing drawings in line with company and Australian Standards requirements.
- Liaise with Clients and Suppliers on a day-to-day basis, providing them with ongoing support and project deliverables.
- Contribute to the design, development and fabrication of goods sold.
- Analyse data from various sources to identify trends in build quality and efficiency.
- Ensure drawings are completed to engineering and product standards.
- Completing core tasks for the day-to-day operations of the Sales team.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (or currently undertaking) and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in CAD Drawing (experience with Solidworks would be highly desirable).
- Experience with Australian and International Standards.
- Demonstrate creative, innovative, analytical, and forward thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and organised with effective decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to develop data driven root cause analyses and solutions.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) skills.
