Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to assist with the Mechanical Design, Development, Revision Management & Product Support of associated gaming equipment. This involves using 3D CAD systems primarily SolidWorks and PDMWorks for mechanical design and product development, the preparation of specifications, installation instructions, and the production of prototypes. Oracle/Agile PLM is also used to manage Product designs and documents.
Requirements:
The general requirement of the role is to be able to assist with the design of equipment that meets the needs of the LNW and its customers. Ensure that suitable documentation and release procedures are followed for all products and changes. This translates into the following criteria:
- Some experience in the gaming industry. (not mandatory)
- Some experience with product design and processes.
Some experience with CAD/PDM/Oracle Preferred.
Software:
The role requires the use of Windows based office applications. This requires a basic working knowledge in the use of the following products:
- SolidWorks & PDMWorks CAD Dev/Management software (preferred)
- Oracle/Agile PLM- (not required)
- Microsoft Windows (preferred)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams. (preferred)
- DraftSight- (not required)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Design, Development & Management of Gaming Industry products and production plant equipment.
- Follow company processes and procedures.
- Ensure all product hardware development is controlled under an engineering change or projects and reported in status reports.
Liaise with production, procurement & Quality regarding product changes and releases.
Must have some knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering
Understanding of 3D CAD systems preferably Solidworks
Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; some drafting experience or training required
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Must be a self-starter
Other Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Positive approach to development, testing and rollout of product developments and updates.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
