About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Junior Planner looking to take the next step in their planning career. This dynamic and fast paced role is perfect for a self-motivated and passionate candidate, wanting to be part of a growing team. This is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
The main responsibility of this role is to identify and deliver profitable outcomes for the business through the achievement of requisite inventory levels, sales and gross profit. You will provide our Buying Team with insightful reporting and analysis in order to improve productivity at all levels.
The primary objectives of the role are:
To create forward season plans (Sales, Gross Profit, Inventory and OTB) in conjunction with the Senior Planner and in partnership with the relevant buyer(s) for designated product divisions and departments
Maintain merchandise plans and ensure we are buying in accordance with these plans, monitoring current and future projected stock levels
To review replenishment parameters and measures with amendments made to optimise return on inventory
Provide feedback to buyers on product through weekly reporting to help shape future ranges
The required skills and experience will include:
Proven experience in a similar role
Tertiary Qualifications in Merchandising or Business/Finance
Technical aptitude, with an ability to grasp technical concepts and details
Strong planning, coordinating and administration skills
Strong Excel skills
Flexible attitude, with loads of initiative, you thrive on change and challenges
Strong communication skills
