HELP Policy Team
Plays a key role in developing program and funding policies for the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) and is responsible for providing HELP policy advice, implementing HELP program changes and financial reporting of the HELP receivable.
Student Engagement Team
Provides information to current and prospective students about higher education by producing higher education information resources, managing the Study Assist website, responding to a high-volume of student enquiries and engaging with inter-agency colleagues and higher education providers on student-related issues.

Responsibilities of the APS Level 3 Junior Policy and Program Officer may include:
- Engaging with stakeholders across the sector (including responding to enquiries) from students, higher education providers, peak bodies and other government agencies.
- Communicating clear and compelling arguments through quality briefing and other written documents which support the Minister for Education and senior executives.
- Preparing written material for varying audiences, including contributing updates to relevant departmental websites.
- Engaging with the effective functioning of teams through various administration and coordination tasks.
- Monitoring key developments in higher education relevant to current priorities.
