Wardle Construction is a down to earth company, specialising in Form/Reo/Pour packages for high-end residential projects in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. We pride ourselves on being Sydney's Formwork Specialists - with a focus on values, culture and exceptional client service.
We are on the lookout for a motivated and organised Project Coordinator to join the team at our office in Kensington. To start in Feb 2024, this is a part time role with flexible hours to accomodate uni student, if required.
About the role
This is not a job for everyone. Project Coordinators are organised, proactive, detail oriented, great communicators and excellent at sensing a potential problem before it arises! As the central point connecting site teams and the Senior Project Manager, your ability to gather and manage information; track and organise work activities; communicate effectively with just about everyone, and monitor and report on progress - ensures we can deliver what we promise.
Key responsibilities
This role is all about getting things done smoothly to minimise delays, optimise timelines, address issues promptly, maintain quality and control costs, - to ensure successful project execution. Some key areas will include:
- Communication: Go-between for site teams and Senior PM - keep everyone up to date with how the project is tracking and any changes to scheduled plans or problems that might be looming
- Logistics: Make sure deliveries of materials and supplies arrive on time
- Site Inspections: Conduct checks on the site before the project starts to make sure everything is in order and ready to go
- Subcontractor Coordination: Organise, plan and oversee subcontractors
- Data Management: Ensure information is input and kept up to date in the system
- Project Invoicing: Keep an eye on project payments, making sure they're accurate and on time.
- Support: generally take the weight off the Senior PMs shoulders so they can focus on the bigger picture.
- Experience in a similar role ideal
- Understanding of construction industry beneficial
- Organised, proactive, detail oriented, efficient, ability to multi-task
- Flexible attitude that doesn't get rattled by changing priorities
- Great communicator - with a range of stakeholders
- Positive attitude and proactive in finding solutions
- Ability to use project management software
- Organisational aptitude and a passion for pulling together large operations
- Keen to learn and not afraid to ask questions
