The key purpose of this role is to deliver effective teaching, learning and caring programs in the Junior School. You must be aligned with the School’s ethos, vision and values. This role is for Term 3 only to cover a leave of absence, commencing 11 July for the Induction Program until 20 September 2024 with a 1.0 load.
The successful applicant will:
- be a qualified Primary Teacher
- hold current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- be willing to be involved in all aspects of the School’s program
- have a deep knowledge of best practice in the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy
- have an understanding of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project
- be aligned with and have an understanding of inquiry principles and pedagogies
- have experience and an understanding of working with students with additional learning needs
- possess the skills and knowledge in modifying curriculum to meet the individual needs of students
- possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact compassionately and confidently with adults and students
- have high level communication skills, both written and oral
- be able to work independently but also as part of a dynamic, creative and collaborative team
- hold an Anaphylaxis Certificate, or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement
- have a current National Police Check or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement
