The Roles
As a School, whose strategic and moral imperative is to Empower Girls, specifically through a liberal, humane, progressive education, Mentone Girls’ Grammar is seeking to appoint two experienced and highly relational Junior School Teachers to join our dedicated team of educators for long service leave replacement cover.
As contemporary educators, the successful candidates will be responsible for building connections through the innovative approach to delivering well-planned and inspiring lessons, where girls can flourish with confidence and language is used to create a positive learning environment that promotes the growth and development of the whole student.
Applications are being sought for the following fixed term positions:
Position 1
Art Teacher (part time)
The successful candidate will be available to cover the LSL period between 15 July 2024 – 20 September 2024
Position 2
Year 5 Teacher (full time)
The successful candidate will be available to cover the LSL period between 7 October 2024 – 11 December 2024
At the heart of these roles will be teachers who have a natural rapport with staff and students and have the ability to engage students and inspire them to achieve their best. They will be effective communicators with strong literacy and numeracy skills to support student learning and development. The appointees will be an articulate, inspiring role models, fostering and cultivating the love of learning in their students.
It is anticipated that there will be opportunities for the appointed candidates to visit the School and receive a handover prior to commencing.
