About the Opportunity
Carey Junior School in Kew is currently searching for an enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team for Term 3.
Reporting to the Head of Junior School Kew, this role is responsible for providing a safe and healthy learning environment for all students, whilst also being the first point of contact for student families. Classroom Teachers with the Junior School, plan and implement effective programmes for all children in the class, providing authentic opportunities for student agency.
This is a full-time position. Carey is looking for a Long Service Leave replacement, which will commence from July 15, 2024, and conclude on September 13, 2024 (Term 3, 2024 duration). Other duties may be assigned with this role based on the operational requirements of the school.
About you
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration
- Strong artistic skills and a passion for creativity
- Relevant Teaching qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of curriculum content, current curriculum approaches and teaching practices
- Ability to develop engaging and age-appropriate art curriculum
- Proven capability to address the unique learning requirements of students
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
