The role
Located in Hurstville, NSW, this is an amazing opportunity to be part of a great team working in the commercial law space.
CCSG Legal is seeking a talented individual to join our vibrant team, specialising in commercial recoveries and offering exposure to various legal practices. Get ready to dive into a range of engaging tasks and gain hands-on experience.
As a Junior Solicitor your main aim is to manage and perform tasks associated with litigation matters, with a focus on strata law recoveries, including litigation support and legal research.
We work on a hybrid working model (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) for a full-time employee.
Responsibilities
Here’s an example of your day to day:
- Support clients with disputes and litigation in tribunals and court, across a variety of commercial matters.
- Manage disputes and litigation (including appearing without Counsel) in tribunals and courts.
- Brief and instruct Counsel and prepare correspondence, evidence, briefs and court documentation.
- Facilitating and monitoring payment arrangements
- Providing effective advice and guidance to clients on recovery of accounts
Requirements

- Proficient at legal research and using research databases and other resources.
- Solid understanding of the terminology and relevant legislation in strata recovery (Strata Schemes Management Act).
- Basic understanding of the terminology and relevant legislation in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial litigation including but not limited to; Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 2005 (NSW), Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and Civil Procedure Act 2005 (Cth) (desirable).
- Prior court experience (desirable).
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changes daily.
- Ability to learn new software applications in a short period of time.
- Proficient use of DebtCol (desirable).
