The City of Warrnambool, located on the spectacular south west coast of Victoria, 3 hours’ drive from Melbourne, is the largest city in southwest Victoria. We are the major regional centre for healthcare, education, professional services and sport and culture in the region.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Junior Statutory Planner to join the City Development Team. The position seeks a planner to work with a diverse range of applications and projects, which contribute to livability, sustainability and growth.
To join Councils diverse team of planning professionals, the successful applicant will be required to:
- To administer the Planning and Environment Act, including the Warrnambool Planning Scheme for the City of Warrnambool.
- Demonstrated ability to promote planning principles to members of the public, relevant authorities and internal Council departments
- Tertiary qualification in town planning or an associated discipline
The Benefits
This is a Temporary Full Time position until 30 September 2024, with a current base salary range between $71,931 to $81,772 per annum (pro-rata), dependant on demonstrated skills and experience + superannuation.
