The role of Junior Technician is an entry level Canberra-based role. This role provides the opportunity to work and grow in many different aspects of the business. Tasks will include:

• Work at construction sites, our warehouse and our office in Canberra CBD.
• Install turnstiles and other Simpel hardware.
• Service visits to carry out repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Provide strong technical and implementation support.
• Participate in research and development of IoT hardware.
• Write short reports about site visits.
• Stocktake, ordering, quality assurance and other works associated with Simpel hardware. 
• Liaise with clients on the phone, by email and face to face.
• Develop a detailed understanding of Simpel hardware and software. 
• Test new releases to our technology to assure quality. 
• Interstate travel between the company’s offices and sites.
• General errands.

You have these skills:

• Able to use correct manual handling techniques.
• Able to troubleshoot problems affecting functioning of turnstiles whilst on construction sites.
• Able to travel to various construction sites to inspect and repair turnstiles. 
• Able to use hand tools and power tools.
• Have a good understanding of technology and the ability to learn new programs.
• Have a driver's license.
• Have a White Card or are willing to complete white card training.
• Electrical trade skills are highly desirable.
