UON is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Branch Manager to join our team at UON’s Kalgoorlie Branch.
About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager at Energy, the Branch Manager is responsible for the management of the rental business operations within the Energy division. You will be the driving lead responsible for the people, operations, budgets, project delivery and strategy of the energy operations and develop, implement, and enforce policies that ensure the safety and efficiency of the rental operations.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Rental and or mining industry, acting in a management capacity with experience across a broad spectrum of mining, electrical, mechanical, engineering disciplines with proven production, commercial and contractual management skills. You will be able to demonstrate a successful history of organisational excellence, and superior interpersonal skills. Initiative and strong attention to detail are critical for this role, as is the ability to enhance and develop profitable business relationships with customers and suppliers.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Identify critical client expectations and rapidly problem solve to resolve areas of non-conformance or complaints.
- Review of project risks, methods, and equipment proposals.
- Undertake regular site visits to review progress, methods, cost controls, safety, quality, environmental, risks, changes and claims etc.
- Manage all Rental Labour costs including installation jobs and track all variances.
- Manage all Energy in-direct costs in accordance with allocated annual budget.
- Fleet asset cost and composition management.
- Maximise UON asset utilisation/development
- Maintain, develop, and improve professional working relationships with all past, existing, and future clients in accordance with UON Vision and Values, policies, and procedures.
- Be the visible, focal and/or escalation point for Client operations contacts, issues etc.
- Enhance client experience across the UON rental engagement process
- Support sales as/when required and where necessary take lead on opportunities requiring technical direction to ensure success
- Maintain professional arms-length relationships with all competitors whilst respecting UON confidentiality
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering or similar Degree qualifications e.g. Project Management or Commercial would be preferable.
- Minimum of ten (1)0 years’ experience in the Rental and or mining industry
- Minimum of five (5) years acting in a management capacity with experience across a broad spectrum of mining, electrical, mechanical, engineering disciplines with proven production, commercial and contractual management skills.
- Strong client relationships through excellence in quality service delivery and financial management.
- Achievement of improved safety performance and industrial relations management.
- Proven track record of project management, strong client relationships through excellence in quality service delivery and financial management.
