Tasks & Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to align commercial tactics with organizational objectives, ensuring synergy between business strategies and goals.
- Manage and oversee the performance of reporting staff, conducting regular assessments to identify training needs and coordinating appropriate training interventions as necessary.
- Optimize the utilization and return on investment of all company assets through strategic planning and effective resource management, while identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Provide mentoring and direction to drivers on company metrics and productivity targets, ensuring clarity and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Coordinate the scheduling of all equipment for planned and preventive maintenance, ensuring operational continuity and asset longevity.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial implications of strategic and tactical decisions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and financial targets.
Skills & Experience- Possess extensive knowledge of relevant state Dangerous Goods (DG) and Explosives (EXP) legislation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate broad expertise in DG/EXP vehicle transport requirements, facilitating safe and efficient transportation operations..
- Exhibit financial acumen with a keen focus on cost management and revenue generation, contributing to the financial success and sustainability of the organization.
- Excel in negotiation and contract management, enabling the establishment of mutually beneficial agreements and partnerships to drive business objectives forward.
- Preferred qualification through trade certification or degree, indicating a strong educational background.
- Showcase a track record of at least 5 years in leadership positions, particularly in leading large teams, demonstrating effective management and organizational skills.
