The Community Engagement Officer is based at headspace Kalgoorlie and provides service to young people and the community via an asset-based community development approach and through the collaborative work with local consortium members, young people, communities and stakeholders via Community Awareness and Engagement and the Youth Advisory Group.
The Community Engagement Officer leads the increase of community awareness mental health through psychoeducation on issues among young people, and family and friends facilitate youth and, where relevant, family participation, organise and deliver health promotion activities, projects, and community events to engage identified target populations.
