Southern Cross Care (Broken Hill) Ltd. has been a premier provider of aged care services for over 40 years, with a focus on delivering a high level of individualised personal care, wellness, and enablement for the most vulnerable in our community.
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Permanent Part Time Kitchen Assistant. This position will be for a minimum of 24 hours per week for day shift - 6:30am until 3:00pm.

Our Kitchen Assistants are responsible for:
- Plating and serving our residents meals, snacks, and drinks
- Basic food preparation
- Taking residents meals orders
- Good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service excellence
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
- Extensive dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas
- Maintaining legislated food hygiene, infection control and safety practices
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts AM/PM weekdays and weekends
Successful candidates must be able to carefully follow all procedures and work instructions and possess a solid understanding of our residents rights.
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is desirable. You must be available to work for the times specified.
