We are currently seeking experienced Casual Kitchen Hands and Domestic Assistants at our Bethanie Fields Aged Care Facility located in Bunbury (170km South of Perth). Bethanie Fields is a 160-bed facility designed specifically to provide support for people who need 24-hour care, including those with special care needs and dementia.
To be successful in this role, you will have existing knowledge of various food preparation methods as well as food safety and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is a component of this role.
Domestic Assistant:
- Ensuring bathrooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring supplies are stocked within the facility
- Liaise with other Bethanie employees to ensure the needs of clients are met
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily.
- Assisting is preparation, apportioning and serving of meals.
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery
- Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand and/or Domestic Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital, or similar environment.
- Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Current NDIS Clearance or willingness to receive one
- Willingness to receive vaccinations
- Valid Working Rights
