Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen staff during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient and organised operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and cleaning standards.
- Help ensure kitchen policies and procedures are upheld.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop menus.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Mature Christian faith and active involvement in a Christian church. This will be demonstrated by evidence of commitment to Christian ministry and service.
- Full agreement with CRU’s ‘Basis of Belief’ statement and its practical out-workings.
