We now have an opening at our Riverwood facility for a full-time Line Leader to join our production team on 6am morning shift.
THE ROLE
Your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Ensuring your dedicated line is running as efficiently as possible
- Coordinating a small team of production staff
- Checking production schedules to forward plan for any changes
- Meeting production efficiency targets
- Contributing to effective shift handovers and ensuring changeovers are done smoothly
- Contributing to the achievement of targets as part of the shift team.
- Ensuring all products are manufactured to our high standards
- providing guidance and coaching to the operations team on GMP processes (including hygiene and housekeeping)
- Maintaining general housekeeping within your designated work area
- Trouble shooting production issues with assistance from the ops team
- Ensuring the highest benchmark of food safety and quality is maintained
- Championing people safety
- Training members of the operations team on standard operating procedures and processes
- Completing and maintaining accurate documentation as per quality management system requirements
- Hygiene, housekeeping, foreign body verification with corrective actions
- Maintaining records
- Conducting line pre-operational checks and product line changeovers
To succeed in the role you will have: - Experience in food manufacturing/preparation and/or large commercial kitchen facility
- Understanding of both people and food safety practices
- Experience operating food manufacturing equipment used in a production environment
- Developed communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic, dependable and a "can-do" attitude
- Be physically fit. Capable of some heavy lifting.
- Self-motivated and able to operate in a constantly changing environment.
- An understanding of food manufacturing principles.
